Mission Projects for 2018
Are you ready for three days that will change your life and the life of others in need? If so then get ready to take a long weekend with our FLC Mission Team this summer! Plans are in the works to take two three day work trips in 2018.
The local project would be for a family in need in Somerset County. It may be building a ramp, doing light construction work, painting, . . .We are looking for local possibilities so if you know of families or persons in need please inform Amy Polakoski, Amy Will, Beth Schrock, or Sheena Zolla Mandichak.
Plans for the second trip would be a return to West Virginia to the areas hit hard by flooding a few years ago. Contacts are being made and information will be shared as it becomes available. Both of these projects would be Friday – Sunday work projects. Folks fifteen years of age and over are able to come along. Teenagers need to be accompanied by a parent.
For 2019, plans are being made to travel to Puerto Rico to assist with clean up and rebuilding after last year’s devastating hurricanes. That would be a full week trip. Again, those interested should speak with those on the MOST team.
The next meeting of our FLC Mission Team is set for April 8 at 11:45am in the library. Anyone interested in going on one of these trips or willing to help raise funds for these outreach projects is encouraged to attend.
These work projects done in the name of our Lord Jesus are fantastic opportunities to serve those in need, to connect with your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to grow in your faith! In 2018 please plan to come along! No matter your skill level or age there is a job waiting for you!
